Frank, I managed to get the upgraded version of go-to pro up and running. However, about 10% of the time I get the error: CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are: The other 90% of the time everything works fine. What do you think is causing this? I am concerned, because I am missing out on the clickthroughs to my site when this error comes up. TEX |

Hello Tex, The HTTP headers you posted didn't show... please replace the <and> with [ and ]. Frank, I don't understand what please replace the <and> with [ and ] means. There are no http headers returned. All that is shown on the screen is listed in the post. What is weird is this: What I am doing is e-mailing out the link: http://www.halevision.com/cgi-bin/go/to.pl?l=test The only time there seems to be a problem is the first time I click on the link. Even then, 90% of the time the page opens O.K. It is just 10% that I get the error above. But, if I immediately go back and click the link again, it always seems to work. And, once it works, it continues to work if I go back and test it over and over. But, if I open the email an hour or two later and click again, then sometimes it returns the above error. Does this make any sense? TEX |

Hello Tex, The way you describe the problem, it can't be a problem with your script installation... maybe a problem of the internet connection, your browser / operation system installation or a web server problem. I tried your link about 25 times and it worked 100%. If I can't reproduce the error it's not really easy to find out what causes the problem. Frank, Thanks for trying. I am suspicious that the server gets too busy. If you get a chance, try clicking the link every once in a while. Eventually it will show the error. Like I mentioned, once it works, it always works for subsequent clicks. TEX |
